Cross-border buses in Hong Kong travel more than 300 kilometers per day on average, and their range and energy consumption directly affect operational efficiency. To this end, Yutong, together with its customer Wing Lee Group and media outlet HK BUS Channel, launched a long-range challenge for the Yutong C12E pure electric bus in Hong Kong to fully verify the vehicle's performance under actual operating conditions.

This challenge adopted strict testing standards to fully replicate cross-border bus operations and validate the capabilities of the C12E with real-world data.

本次挑战采用严苛测试标准，全方位还原跨境巴士运营情况，用真实数据验证C12E的实力。

·Vehicle Specifications: The test model was a Yutong C12E pure electric bus, that had already been in service for 2 years. It is equipped with a 422kWh battery, a peak power of 350kW, and a peak torque of 3800Nm, making it a flagship model designed for high-intensity operation scenarios.

·车辆情况：本次测试车型为宇通C12E纯电动巴士，车辆已运营2年，搭载422kWh电池，峰值功率350kW，峰值扭矩3800Nm，是面向高强度运营场景打造的主力车型。

·Test Route: From Tseung Kwan O to Fung Kat Heung, simulating the actual operating path of Hong Kong cross-border buses, with 261km total and a single round trip of about 87 kilometers, matching daily high-frequency driving scenarios.

·测试路线：从将军澳至逢吉乡，模拟香港跨境巴士实际运营路径，全程累计261公里，单次往返约87公里，贴合日常高频行驶场景。

·Temperature and Operating Conditions: Air conditioning was kept on throughout the test (Ambient temperature: 24–27°C; Air conditioning setpoint: 16–18°C), covering urban roads and highways, accurately replicating operating conditions under high temperatures and complex road conditions.

·温度和工况：测试全程开启空调（环境温度24-27度，空调开启16-18度），覆盖城市道路与高速路段，真实还原高温、复杂路况下的运营状态。

Measured data shows that the C12E consumed 47% battery after traveling 261 kilometers, with a comprehensive energy consumption of 0.69kWh/km, equivalent to 1.45km per kWh. This data is highly valuable for reference for the Hong Kong cross-border bus industry. Equipped with a 422 kWh battery pack, the C12E achieves a fully charged, fully laden range of 310–360 km, satisfying daily 300-kilometer operation requirements for Hong Kong cross-border coaches.

实测数据显示，C12E行驶261公里消耗47%电量，综合电耗0.69kWh/km，相当于每度电可行驶1.45公里。这个数据对于香港跨境巴士行业具有极强的参考价值。搭载422kWh电池版本C12E，满电满载续航可达310-360公里，满足香港跨境巴士单日300公里运营需求。
